During my elementary years, one of my favorite subjects is English. Using correct grammar was tackled to us since grade 1 up to grade 6. I could still remember the explanation of my teacher about using subject-verb agreement. It was said that if the subject is plural, the verb must be singular or without "S" and if the subject is singular the verb must be plural or with "S". I know that somehow it maybe correct or wrong but it's what my teacher in the past years thought to me. In my case, this is a mystery thus; Detective Perry is on the way to investigate.

Principles of a Transformer
Transformer
Step-up Transformer - if the number of loops in the secondary coil is greater than that in the primary coil so that the induced voltage is greater than the input voltage.
Step-down Transformer - a transformer with less loops in the secondary than that in the primary.

We can conclude from this experiment that an electric current causes a magnetic field around it just like a magnet causes a magnetic field.

The Discovery of Electromagnetic Induction

Faraday studied the magnetic field around a conductor carrying a DC electric current, and established the basis for the electromagnetic field concept in physics. He discovered electromagnetic induction, His inventions of electromagnetic rotary devices formed the foundation of electric motor technology, and it was largely due to his efforts that electricity became viable for use in technology. While Henry discovered the electromagnetic phenomenon of self-inductance. He also discovered mutual
inductance independently of Michael Faraday,
though Faraday was the first to publish his results.

Which is "which"? "Black-out" or "Brown-out"?
This afternoon, some of our devices were unused because of the black-out. But I sense that some say because of the brown-out. Which is the right term? Which is which? "Black-out" or "brown-out"?.
I think it is a mystery thus; Detective Perry is on the way to investigate.
According to my researches, brown-out is a condition of lower than normal power line voltage being supplied by your local utility or generating equipment. This condition may be short term (minutes to hours) or long term (1/2 day or more). A power line voltage reduction of 8 - 12% is usually considered a brown-out.

Black-out

Brown-out
While, a black-out is a complete loss of power for whatever reason and is usually short term, as it is so serious that the generating company will classify the situation as an emergency. However, just occasionally a catastrophe may cause a longer term black-out.

Public Speaking: A Treasure Chest

In our class, public speaking was introduced by our English teacher for our verbal test. Actually I am already aware by this because, I am a member of the Toastmasters Club of the Philippines. The same manner that I love public speaking, some of my classmates hate to do it, "but Why?"
This is a mystery thus; Detective Perry is on the way to investigate.
According to my researches, the Times survey found that 41% of the 3000 respondents listed "fear of public speaking" as their number one fear because some are afraid to pronounce incorrectly and to create mistakes from their words.

This is a "Mystery" thus, Detective Perry is on the way to investigate.
The survey says that 90% of the New Year's Resolution around the Earth doesn't happen totally. In short, it only express as a resolution with out action. In addition to your knowledge, the Top 1 New Year's Resolution in terms of population is to loose weight.
