During my elementary years, one of my favorite subjects is English. Using correct grammar was tackled to us since grade 1 up to grade 6. I could still remember the explanation of my teacher about using subject-verb agreement. It was said that if the subject is plural, the verb must be singular or without "S" and if the subject is singular the verb must be plural or with "S". I know that somehow it maybe correct or wrong but it's what my teacher in the past years thought to me. In my case, this is a mystery thus; Detective Perry is on the way to investigate.
According to our Division Elementary English Supervisor, it is not the right term how we put "s" to a verb with the relationship of the subject. It is correct of putting "s" when the subject is singular, but the verb is still plural. So it means that when the subject is plural, the verb is also plural even without "s" and if the subject singular the verb is also singular even with "s".
A mystery has been revealed by the "World of Mystery". Case Closed!
